Almost everyone I know came to pulp fandom via one of two routes: pulp SF or pulp heroes. The Pulp Rack site doesn't have a lot of space devoted to SF right now, because there already are so many Internet sites focusing on SF. There also are quite a few sites already devoted to pulp heroes, but here are some of our favorites. Check back regularly for updates.
The Shadow Magazine Site
Fun stuff about The Shadow and his crew, and the best source for finding the original stories, formatted for the digital age!

The Hidalgo Trading Co. Sites
Chuck Welch, html wizard for the Pulp Rack site, and Catherine Lavallée Welch have developed a nice collection of sites devoted to Doc Savage, including an emailing list called The Flearun, that welcome input and participation by fans -- including new Doc novels written by fans!

The Dream Vaults of Opar
Fantasy author Patrick Adkins' site features his examinations of the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs, creator of Tarzan, Barsoom, Pellucidar, and much more. These are all well written, interesting excursions, and quite entertaining for the pulp fan. It's a nice example of the sort of work I hope to accomplish with the Frederick Faust/Max Brand section of the Pulp Rack site.

The Avenger Archives
Dave Kalb has built a great site devoted to Street & Smith's detective hero, The Avenger! He has posted cover scans, info about the writers and artists, editorials from the original pulp issues, and e-texts of the original backup stories that ran in the magazine! Spending time in Dave's site is as close to recreating the experience of reading a fresh issue of The Avenger in the early 1940s as you can get today. This is a highly recommended treasure trove!

Doc Savage, the Supreme Adventurer
Rob Smalley's fan site offers much fun. And you can learn all about the annual Doc Savage Convention! Make plans to attend!

Hero Pulp
Chris Kalb's Hero Pulp site comprises the very nice sites he's created for Doc Savage, The Spider, Operator # 5, G-8 and his Battle Aces, and Dave Kalb's site for The Avenger. Chris doesn't update his sites ver often, but they are filled with cool graphics, neat games, and fun video goodies.
